# AI Test Import

Import tests that were exported from other test automation tools.

## Introduction

Migrating from another test automation tool? Endtest can automatically import your existing tests, regardless of the format they were exported in.

The AI Test Import feature uses AI to analyze the structure of exported test files and convert each step into native Endtest steps. It supports JSON, CSV, TXT, and other formats from virtually any test automation tool.

## How it works

1. Export your tests from your current tool (Selenium, Katalon, TestProject, etc.) in any supported format.
2. In Endtest, go to the import section and upload your file.
3. The AI analyzes the file format, identifies the structure, and maps each step to an Endtest test step.
4. Review the generated test and make any adjustments.

## Supported formats

Since the AI dynamically detects the format, it works with exports from most test automation tools:

- **JSON**: Structured test exports
- **CSV**: Spreadsheet-based test cases
- **TXT**: Plain text test scripts

Each tool has its own export format, but the AI handles the parsing automatically.

## Tips

- **Review after import**: While the AI does an excellent job of mapping steps, always review the imported test to ensure everything translated correctly.
- **Complex assertions**: Some tool-specific assertion types may need manual adjustment after import.
- **Variables and data**: If your original test used variables or data sources, you may need to reconfigure those in Endtest after import.

> **Note:** This feature makes it easy to migrate from tools like Selenium, Katalon, TestProject, Mabl, and others without having to manually recreate every test.
